Big NYT Mag Story: Build a Better Teacher

Elizabeth Green wrote a great story, featuring Uncommon School's Doug Lemov. Don't miss it. It'll get huge buzz, I think. She does a great job of portraying an introspective "mad genius" of teacher training, Doug Lemov. I met him in 2000 or so when he was principal of a local charter called Academy of the Pacific Rim. Then he went to Harvard Business School, and re-emerged as a partner in a network of charters called Uncommon Schools.

In our program, Doug's "Taxonomy" is one of the most important texts (I don't think it's officially published yet); we use excerpts to describe certain effective teaching moves.
