Fun Event! (Oct 1)

Attention Boston teachers.  And other humans.

Usually you can't go out on a school night.  But here is a fun shebang that starts at 7pm and involves COMEDY.

Former teacher Chris Duffy, of Edward Brooke Charter School, has a cool show.  It's for NPR and he records it in front of a "live studio audience."

It's called You're The Expert.

The deets:

Next Tuesday, You're the Expert is taking over the Oberon Theater (in Harvard Square) for a live taping featuring Dr. Rick Weissbourd, an expert from Harvard's Graduate School of Education.

Join comedians Josh Gondelman (creator of Modern Seinfeld and writer for New York Magazine and McSweeney's), Brendan Pelsue (playwright at the Yale School of Drama), and Ken Reid (2-time Boston Phoenix best comedian in Boston) as they learn about Dr. Weissbourd's fascinating research on teaching students about kindness, courage, and how to build meaningful romantic relationships.

You're the Expert
Tuesday, October 1st at 7:00 p.m.
OBERON, 2 Arrow Street, Cambridge, MA

Pru and I will be there.  Rick is a friend of ours and both fun and smart (a power combo).  And the comedians are....professional!

You should come.

Single educators -- maybe you could attach this event to one of those Grouper dates that Veronica was telling me about.  Nothing promotes dating like jokes about parenting.
