Cloe Axelson | Communications Director
Ms. Axelson is a writer with experience working across multiple media, including print, digital and film. Prior to joining Match, she worked on the national communications team at City Year. She has a BA in political science from Tufts and a MS in communication from Boston University. Ms. Axelson began her career as a grassroots organizer on political campaigns in Missouri.
Jonathan Blum | Lead Software Architect
Mr. Blum was a member of Match Corps IV and a founding staff member of Match Middle School the following year. He then served as a technology coordinator for the NYC Department of Education and spent several years as a financial software consultant at Galatea Associates, leading a global team of developers in creating best-of-breed custom software solutions for investment banks. Mr. Blum has a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Sarah Britton | Math Curriculum Director
Ms. Britton began her career in education through Teach For America Massachusetts, where she taught 7th and 8th grade mathematics. She then joined staff at Teach For America as a manager of teacher leadership development, supporting and coaching their new math teachers of all grade levels. She has a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Union College and a Master's degree in curriculum and teaching from Boston University.
Matt Collins | Data Manager
Mr. Collins earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Boston College in 2003. He joined the Match Community as part of the original Match Corps tutors at the Match High School and went on to teach a variety of math courses for the next seven years. Mr. Collins also served as the Dean of Students for two of those years and ended his 9th year at the high school as the Dean of Students and Data Manager. He has transitioned most recently to the role of Data Manager for all Match Charter Public Schools.
Chris Correa | Recruitment Manager
Mr. Correa began his career working with the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, where he served as the Assistant Director of a program that focused on helping young men cope with substance abuse and addiction. Prior to joining Match Education, Mr. Correa served as the Director of Admission and Recruitment for City Year Boston, where he coordinated their recruitment efforts, increased brand awareness and managed community and collegiate partnerships. Mr. Correa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cambridge College.
Genevieve Dusing | Associate Director of Development and Communications
Ms. Dusing grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA in a house of two loving parents and four darling brothers. In 2012 she graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Hispanic Studies. She was a member of Match Corps IX at the Match High School, where she also served as the TA for the Heritage Spanish classes and as the coordinator for the end-of-the-year class trips.
Tova Goldring | Deputy General Counsel
Prior to joining Match, Ms. Goldring was an associate at Goodwin Procter and was a member of the tax department. She has also worked as an attorney for Yal-Day-New Daycare Center and she was a paralegal at The Kraft Group before attending law school. Ms. Goldring earned her BA in politics from Brandeis University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2005 and her JD from Harvard Law School in 2010.
Anne Healy | Director of Finance and Administration
Ms. Healy has lived in the Boston area since 1993 when she worked in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche. After leaving public accounting, Ms. Healy spent 13 years in the Financial Affairs Office at Boston University and then held finance and accounting leadership roles in a number of smaller nonprofit organizations focused on ending homelessness; most recently Rosie’s Place. Ms. Healy holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Scranton, an MBA from the Boston University Public & Nonprofit MBA program and holds inactive CPA and CFP licenses.
Danielle Lee | Director of Special Projects and Operations, Match Teacher Coaching NOLA
Mrs. Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies and a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University. She began her career in 2007 teaching Spanish with the Recovery School District at Mary D. Coghill Elementary School. Prior to joining Match as the Director of Special Projects and Operations of MTC- NOLA, Mrs. Lee served as the Achievement Analyst for the Recovery School District.
Stig Leschly | Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Leschly is the CEO of Match's related entities -- Match Public Charter School, The Charles Sposato Graduate School of Education, and The Match Foundation, Inc. Prior to joining Match, Mr. Leschly was the founder and managing partner of the Newark Charter School Fund. The fund supported the charter school sector in Newark, NJ and advanced reform of Newark's public school system during the first term of Mayor Booker. Prior to his work in Newark, Mr. Leschly was a full-time lecturer at Harvard Business School where his teaching and research focused on entrepreneurship and education reform. In the late 1990's, he was the CEO and founder of Exchange.com, an early competitor to eBAY.com that was acquired by Amazon.com. Mr. Leschly has a BA in Comparative Literature (Summa Cum Laude) from Princeton University, a JD from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Anne Lyneis | ELA Curriculum Director
Ms. Lyneis studied Psychology at the University of Vermont. Following her passion for teaching, she joined Teach for America in rural Louisiana where she taught 2nd grade for three years. Ms. Lyneis then taught 3rd grade at a charter school in Houston, and then returned to Louisiana to teach 4th grade while earning her Master’s in Educational Leadership. Ms. Lyneis joined Match in 2012 as a teacher teaching kindergarten, third and then fourth grade.
Megan McDonough | curriculum director
Ms. McDonough worked at Match High School from 2004 to 2015 in a variety of different roles including Non-Fiction teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and most recently Principal. She has both a BA and M.Ed. in Urban Education from Clark University. Outside of Match, Meg enjoys skiing, hiking, gardening, swimming and playing soccer with her family – specifically her daughter Samantha and son Parker.
Kim Nicoll | ELA Curriculum Director
Ms. Nicoll has a B.A. in History from Wake Forest University and an M.Ed. from Harvard University. Ms. Nicoll began her career as a high school history teacher first at City on a Hill Charter School and then at Charlestown High School. Following that, she served as a history teacher, a reading teacher and subsequently principal of Roxbury Prep Charter School.
Quiana Philogene | human resource Manager
Mrs. Philogene graduated from the Match High School in 2006. She holds a B.A. in Psychology, M.S. in Gerontology Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern New Hampshire University. During her undergraduate career, she worked at her family owned children's Hospice, as a Managed Care Coordinator and Human Resource Assistant. Prior to joining Match, Mrs. Philogene was a Claims Adjuster for Progressive Insurance.
Cassandra Prince | Recruitment Manager
Ms. Prince holds a B.A. in Political Science from Spelman College. She was a member of Match Corps V at the high school in 2008-2009. After the corps, she served as a corps staff member and office manager at the high school.
Marisa Segel | ELA Curriculum Director
Ms. Segel has a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Barnard College and an M.Ed. from Harvard University. She began her career as a documentary film editor before finding her passion for the classroom. She started working as a filmmaking teacher at Codman Academy and then continued on as a reading teacher, writing teacher and instructional leader at Roxbury Prep Charter School. Outside of work, Marisa enjoys cooking and playing on the beach with her family.
Jennifer Spencer | Math Curriculum Director
Ms. Spencer attended Lesley University where she received a BA in Natural Science and Special Education and UMASS Boston where she received an MA in Critical and Creative Thinking. Ms. Spencer taught math at Roxbury Prep Charter School for six years and at the COMPASS school for four years. Ms. Spencer was a consultant in Boston public elementary schools, writing curriculum to facilitate the transition to the Common Core State Standards in math. Ms. Spencer joined Match in 2012 as the high school Algebra teacher.
David Steefel-Moore | National Americorps Director
After graduating from Carleton College with a degree in Psychology and Educational Studies, Mr. Steefel-Moore joined Match Corps IX at Match High School. During his time there, “Mr. Steef” was best known by students for his dodgeball skills, his “angry face” and his management of the detention list. Mr. Steefel-Moore earned an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2015, and rejoined Match as the National Americorps Director.
Ashlei Turner | Senior Leadership Coach, Match Teacher Coaching NOLA
Mrs. Turner received her Master degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. Following her Master degree she worked as an Early Literacy and ESL educator in Houston and began her coaching career with the Houston Independent School District’s New Teacher Program. She currently serves as the Senior Leadership Coach of Match Teacher Coaching (MTC) NOLA.
Jeanette Velasquez | STAFF Accountant
Ms. Velasquez is a Boston native who has worked in nonprofit sector as an accountant, bookkeeper, tax preparer, office manager and an community activist for over seven years. In 2007 she obtained her B. A. in Accounting and minored in Entrepreneurship from Pine Manor College. She has worked alongside entities such as Teach Plus Inc, Travelers Aid Family Services Inc., Paul & Phyllis Fireman Foundation, Melville Charitable Trust and Strategic Grant Partner. Ms. Velasquez finds it extremely liberating being apart of a mission that is committed to operating without borders; providing unwavering high expectations to achieve educational and economic advancement for all.
Erica Winston | Director, Match Teacher Coaching NOLA
Ms. Winston holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies & Linguistics from Northwestern University and a Master of Education degree from Harvard's Graduate School of Education. She joined Teach for America in 2005 and began working with the Match Teacher Residency (MTR) program in 2008. Ms. Winston currently serves as the Director of MATCH Teacher Coaching - New Orleans (MTC-NOLA).
